Position Overview
This is a Grade 4 English teacher position in our Lower School. As a Grade 4 English teacher, you will be supporting students' teaching and learning experience, classroom routines and nurturing a positive atmosphere, collaborating with the faculty, and communicating with families about student progress and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lesson in accordance with The International School of San Francisco teaching principles and curriculum
  • Keep student records and grades up to date
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Collaborate with other English teachers and English curriculum Program Manager to ensure cohesive delivery of the program
  • Provide student academic support in other classes
  • Communicate with parents
  • Participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Attend school functions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the entire school community (students, parents, and employees)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • State certification as an Elementary School Teacher preferred
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities
  • Knowledge in French language preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
  • Commitment to work in an inclusive and diverse community
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of students.
  • Ability to promote The International School of San Francisco mission and values

Salary Range for this position is $67,705 - $110,975.
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
