About FlightSafety International FlightSafety International is the world's premier professional aviation training company and supplier of flight simulators, visual systems and displays to commercial, government and military organizations. The company provides training for pilots, technicians and other aviation professionals from 167 countries and independent territories. FlightSafety operates the world's largest fleet of advanced full-flight simulators and award-winning maintenance training at Learning Centers and training locations in the United States, Canada, France and the United Kingdom.

Purpose of Position The Global Tax Director is responsible for leading the company's worldwide tax strategy, compliance, planning, reporting, and risk management activities. This role oversees all domestic and international tax matters, ensures compliance with global tax regulations, and partners closely with Finance, Legal, Treasury, and executive leadership to support the company's strategic and operational objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong technical tax expertise with leadership capability, business acumen, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex multinational environment.

Tasks and Responsibilities The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned. Lead FlightSafety's global tax function, including direct and indirect tax, income tax, transfer pricing, and international tax matters.

Advise executive leadership on tax implications of business decisions, acquisitions, restructurings, and global expansion initiatives. Monitor global tax legislative developments and assess impacts to the organization. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, local, and international tax returns.

Coordinate with external auditors during financial statement audits and tax reviews. Manage quarterly and annual tax reporting requirements and related disclosures. Oversee international tax planning and global entity structure optimization.

Manage transfer pricing policies, documentation, and local country regulations. Support cross-border transactions, intercompany arrangements, and repatriation strategies. Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across jurisdictions.

Lead responses to tax audits, examinations, and inquiries from taxing authorities. Maintain strong internal controls over tax processes and reporting. Provide tax support for mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and restructuring projects.

Support ERP implementations and finance transformation initiatives involving tax processes. Manage relationships with external tax advisors, consultants, and service providers. Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency within the tax function.

Lead and develop internal tax team members. Foster a collaborative, high performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement. Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field MBA or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

Minimum Experience 8+ years of progressive tax experience, including multinational corporate tax leadership Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong technical tax expertise. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization and time management skills.

Action and results oriented - sets goals and achieve those goals. Demonstrated success leading a team of Tax professionals. Proven attention to details, pride and ownership in work, and ability to multi-task.

Strong negotiation, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills. Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with ability to reconcile data and analyze variances.

Ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment across a broad spectrum of key stakeholders, senior leadership, and various levels of management in a professional manner. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software, in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
