Job Summary: 
We are looking for a Offshore Painter to join our team! You will be preparing and performing professional exterior and interior painting jobs in a residential and light commercial setting. 
You are an experienced Offshore/ or commercial painter who’s looking to be part of an energetic and effective team. You believe in a job done right and take pride in delivering a quality service to customers. A positive attitude is a must! 
Responsibilities: 
  • Spray paint and sandblast heavy equipment, using spray gun and sandblasting equipment to clean grease, dirt, old paint, and rust from equipment.
  • Use solvent, water, rags, brushes, pneumatic wire brush, and chipping hammer to clean and prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Apply paper and masking tape to protect unpainted surfaces, such as windows and trim
  • Stencil lettering and other identifying information according to specifications
  • Select paint according to company color scheme and specifications
  • Disassembles paint and sandblasting equipment and cleans equipment, using solvent, wire brushes, and dry cloth
  • Work with Welders, Fitters, Riggers, and Scaffold Builders, giving them assistance as needed.
  • Interact professionally with customers, evaluating requests, pricing projects, troubleshooting issues, and describing work orders as needed 
  • Identify proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects 
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or by other means necessary
  • Mix, match, and blend various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and special protective coatings to achieve the desired color, consistency, and drying properties
  • Use caulk, putty, cement, or plaster to repair holes and cracks
  • Inspect paint jobs for quality
  • Perform daily maintenance routines on painting equipment
Qualifications: 
  • 2+ years’ experience Offshore as a Blaster/Painter required
  • Valid Visa-B-1 OCS, Passport, OGUK, Seaman book, to commute between international work sites 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs of equipment
  • Valid Passport, U.S. Visa (B1 OCS or B1/B2)
