Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Millwrights for projects located in the Brownsville, OR area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $37-45/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Millwright and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
  • Install, assemble, dismantle, relocate, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
  • Perform precision equipment alignments using laser alignment and other measuring tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment specifications
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical systems
  • Replace bearings, shafts, gearboxes, motors, pumps, conveyors, and other rotating equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs
  • Rig, lift, and position heavy equipment using chain falls, hoists, forklifts, and other rigging equipment
  • Maintain precise measurements, tolerances, and alignments during installations
  • Follow OSHA standards and all jobsite safety procedures

Requirements
  • Journeyman-level Millwright experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with the following is highly desired:
    • Precision shaft alignment (laser alignment preferred)
    • Pump, gearbox, motor, and conveyor installation and repair
    • Bearing installation and replacemen
    • Rigging and machinery moving
    • Reading mechanical prints and equipment layouts
    • Welding and fabrication experience
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Preventive and predictive maintenance
    • Precision measuring tools including dial indicators, micrometers, calipers, and torque equipment
    • Forklift, aerial lift, or crane operation
    • Industrial jobsite safety and OSHA standards
