Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Ironworker's / Riggers for projects located in or around Knoxville, TN. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $32/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Ironworker / Rigger and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

  • Perform rigging & setting of industrial equipment, machinery tanks, conveyors & mechanical systems
  • Read & interpret rigging plans, blueprints, equipment drawings & lift plans
  • Safely attach balance & guide loads using chains, slings, shackles, spreader bars & other hardware
  • Assist with equipment alignment, anchoring, leveling & final placement
  • Work closely with millwrights, pipefitters, welders & other craft workers

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience of irownworking/rigging
  • Experience rigging & setting equipment in manufacturing plants, factories of industrial facilities
  • Ability to read & blueprints and follow detailed installation instructions
  • Familiarity with cranes forklifts, aerial lifts & industrial lifting practices
  • Ability to work overtime & occasionally weekends as needed
  • Reliable transportation
  • Basic hand tools

Preferred:

  • NCCER Signal person
  • NCCER Rigger level I or II
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Aerial Lift certification
