Data Analyst - 100% Remote
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for improving transportation and transportation safety. This role involves working on innovative projects with our Federal partners at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. If you have a proven track record in data analysis, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to make meaningful contributions in solving transportation-related challenges, we’d like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and analytical support for research initiatives and decision-making at multiple levels within government agencies or industry.
  • Collect, cleanse, and analyze large and complex data sets.
  • Utilize tools like R, SQL, and either Tableau or PowerBI to create data-driven solutions.
  • Apply modeling and statistical techniques to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends.
  • Collaborate with teams to assess and solve transportation-related problems.
  • Develop visualizations, reports, and dashboards that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Experience: 8+ years in data analysis, with expertise in:Collecting, preparing, and cleansing large data sets.
  • Analyzing structured and unstructured data.\
  • Developing insights and recommendations through data visualizations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis, modeling, and database design.
  • Experience with programming tools like Python, Oracle, MATLAB, etc.
Soft Skills:
