Job Description
Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking to hire early career Equipment Development Engineers. Come join a dynamic team developing custom equipment and other innovative solutions for the Savannah River Site, DOE complex, and National Security missions.
Responsibilities
The selected candidates will work with engineers, scientists, researchers, technical specialists, and other professionals within Advanced Engineering at Savannah River National Laboratory with a focus on conducting hands-on automation, robotics, controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition system development. Ideal candidates are entry level engineers capable of developing, designing, fabricating, assembling, testing, evaluating, calibrating, and fielding unique systems, components, and tooling to meet unique technical challenges for end users. They are expected to deliver results in a safe, responsible, secure, timely, and cost-effective manner. Candidates need to understand and apply advanced knowledge of standard theories, concepts, principles, techniques, and fundamentals in engineering to achieve innovative solutions. Candidates should also be able to scope, plan, organize, communicate, estimate, schedule, and perform technical tasks that that provide creative technical solutions and address a variety of challenges with guidance, support, and direction from senior professionals
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required

Applications will be accepted for those graduating before June 2027. Degree verification will be required before start date.
