What is an international refinery?

An international refinery is a large industrial facility that processes crude oil into usable products such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and other petrochemicals, and operates on a global scale. These refineries are typically located in different countries and serve various international markets, often importing crude oil from multiple sources and exporting refined products worldwide. They play a crucial role in the global energy supply chain, ensuring that fuels and other petroleum-based products are available where they are needed. International refineries must adhere to a wide range of regulations and standards set by different countries, making their operations complex and highly regulated.
