Job description

Overview:

We are looking for an experience and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to support our medical device operations. This role is responsible for receiving, shipping, inventory movement and control all within compliance ISO 13485 standards, and GMP requirements. The Warehouse Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, product traceability, and supporting production and shipping activities. This is a full-time, hourly position, on-site in Alpharetta, GA Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Follow all GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 guidelines and company policies for material handling and storage.
    • Support our inventory control specialist by performing cycle counts and physical inventory to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Manage stock levels, reorder points, and restocking processes
    • Prepare and package finished goods for distribution to our sterilization partner, 3PL, customers or intercompany ensuring proper documentation and labeling (e.g., lot numbers, part numbers, serial numbers, barcodes).
  • Warehouse Management:
    • Warehouse Management in Good Manufacturing Practice environment (GMP)
    • Organize and maintain the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency within a GMP environment.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehousing, including inbound receipts, internal on-time fill rates, truck mileage.
    • Accurately label, store and pick materials in designated areas according to company procedures, FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles.
    • Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas in accordance with 6S standards.
  • Shipping & Receiving:
    • Receive incoming raw materials, Finish Goods and equipment, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips
    • Coordinate outbound shipments to customers or other facilities.
    • Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Transportation Coordination:
    • Coordinate and schedule transportation of goods, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
    • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any transportation issues.
    • Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
  • Internal Logistics Coordination:
    • Deliver to our 3PL via company box truck.
    • Plan and manage the internal movement of goods (incl. Kanban) within the warehouse, ensuring that materials flow efficiently between storage, production, and shipping areas.
    • With the support of the Supply Chain Manager, Oversee the transfer of inventory between departments, such as production and fulfillment, ensuring timely availability of stock for order fulfillment or manufacturing.
  • Trouble shooting and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve services and reduce costs.
  • Act as an ERP (D365) key user for warehouse operations and maintain warehouse Master data

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Biology, Chemistry or related preferred.
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification is preferred
    • Certified Purchasing professional (CPP), CPM or APICS Certification is preferred
  • Experience:
    • 2-3 years of warehouse or inventory control experience, preferably in an ISO 13845 regulated industry.
    • Ability to pass a vehicle background check in order to drive company truck.
    • Experience using an ERP or warehouse management system such as D365, SAP, Oracle, and/or NetSuite
    • Experience with regulatory environments that abide by standards such as GMP, FDA, or ISO 13485 standards
  • Skills:
    • Understanding of shipping requirements for domestic and international orders (e.g., labeling, packaging, documentation
    • Ability to lift up to 30lbs and operate common warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks and forklifts
    • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Understanding in lean methodologies, Six Sigma tools and working within a 6S program.
    • Understanding in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Travel Requirement:
    • Ability to travel domestic and international
