Optometrist – Full Time (FLOAT) –OD/MD Practice – Atlanta, Peachtree City & Riverdale, GA

Only Residency-trained optometrists and experienced doctors with lots of medical experience are encouraged to apply!

Join one of the only true privately owned ophthalmology practices in the Atlanta metro area. While many surrounding practices have transitioned to private equity or corporate ownership, our physician-led practice remains committed to delivering personalized, patient-focused care. With three convenient locations and a collaborative OD/MD model, you'll enjoy practicing full-scope medical optometry alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive environment.

We are seeking a Full-Time Optometrist to provide care across our three Georgia locations in Atlanta, Peachtree City, and Riverdale. The schedule typically includes one to two days per week in Peachtree City, with the remaining days rotating between our Atlanta and Riverdale offices. This position is ideal for an optometrist who enjoys practicing heavy medical eye care.

Doctors typically see approximately 30 patients per day, with schedules ranging from 25 to 35 patients depending on patient volume.

Benefits

Competitive compensation package:

  • $135,000 annual base salary for a four-day schedule
  • $169,000 annual base salary for a five-day schedule
  • Annual productivity bonus:
    • Earn 20% of collections exceeding 5.25 times your annual base salary, paid annually

Typical Full-Time Schedule

Monday – Friday:
8:45 AM – 4:30 PM

(Some days may finish around 4:00 PM, while busier days may extend until approximately 5:00 PM.)

One Saturday morning per month (approximately four hours).

Doctors who work a Saturday receive a half-day off during that same week. The practice is closed for long holiday weekends.

Office Rotation

The doctor will rotate between all three practice locations: One office is in Atlanta, one is in Riverdale and one is in Peachtree City.

Typical schedule:

  • 4-day schedule: One day at each location, with an additional day in Peachtree City as needed.
  • 5-day schedule: Typically two days in Peachtree City and the remaining days divided between the Atlanta and Riverdale offices.
What You'll Need
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
  • Georgia Optometry License (or ability to obtain)
