About Vision Clinic

Vision Clinic is committed to setting the newest standard in eye care with a full spectrum of services and cutting-edge 21st-century technology. For over 70 years, this practice has served the greater Racine, Kenosha, Milwaukee, and Chicago regions and specializes in allergy eye care, dry eye, ocular diseases, and specialty contact lenses. The practice is centrally located within the urban setting of historic Uptown Racine and is easily accessible from WI-20 and WI-32. To support the business's continued growth and maintain the legacy, gold-standard service that Vision Clinic patients know and expect, the practice is looking to add additional providers to its highly-trained staff of 14 employees and four Optometrists.

Vision Clinic features a large, stand-alone, two-story building and occupies both floors. The professionals utilize state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology that includes digital retinal imaging, high-definition OCT, and threshold visual field. A team of Optometric Technicians performs pretesting, enabling the doctors to spend quality time with patients. Online appointment scheduling and office communications are offered via text messaging. In addition, patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a trendy, curated collection of eyewear from a newly redesigned luxury eyewear boutique, Up Town Eyes—plus, personalized service from the Opticians who ensure the perfect fit for style, comfort, and functionality.

About the Optometrist Opportunity

Vision Clinic is seeking an Optometrist who can practice at the highest level of professionalism while utilizing and expanding their skills to pursue individual areas of eye care specialties. You'll perform in-depth eye exams for vision and ocular health and comprehensive follow-ups for patients of all ages, visual and medical diagnoses—comprehensive vision exams are scheduled every 30 minutes—and additional follow-ups. The practice is looking for a long-term Optometrist to help lead and guide the practice as it evolves over the years.

The current office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday; 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (closed on Wednesday); and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday. At Vision Clinic, you're an integral part of a large, committed group of eye care professionals and support staff—more importantly, you're part of the eye care family.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors continuously and be willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Optometry license in the state of Wisconsin
