As a Manager of Network Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the Information Technology Network Engineering function by ensuring secure, reliable, and highly available network infrastructure, connectivity, performance, and operational support across the organization while enabling business continuity, scalability, and exceptional end-user experience.

Manager, Network Engineering key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing network operations, engineering strategy, and service reliability in a 24x7 operating environment.
  • Plans, coordinates, directs, and designs operational activities of the IT Network Engineering team, including LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, cloud connectivity, and network services.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining industry best practices to secure network infrastructure, perimeter defenses, segmentation, and remote access capabilities across the organization.
  • Continually develops strategies, standards, and procedures to maintain secure network defenses against unauthorized access to internal, external, branch, data center, cloud, and remote connectivity environments.
  • Oversee network architecture and technical designs that provide high levels of availability, performance, redundancy, and security while complying with enterprise architecture standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Works closely with IT leadership, security, infrastructure, application, and business stakeholders to identify, recommend, implement, and support cost-effective network technology solutions.
  • Serves as primary point of contact and liaison between IT Network Engineering, Information Security, Infrastructure, Operations, and business technology teams.
  • Manages all the deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets.
  • Manage relationships with telecom carriers, internet service providers, network vendors, and managed service providers to ensure operational excellence and reliable connectivity.
  • Implements network performance metrics, availability reporting, capacity planning, SLA monitoring, and periodic reporting for leadership.
  • Monitors and tracks project progress and reports findings to leadership.
  • Ensures staff keeps current with technological developments within the industry.
  • Provide after-hours support for network maintenance, upgrades, patching, incident response, outage resolution, and change implementation.

Manager, Network Engineering Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 8-10 years of Network Engineering experience, including 3-5 years of Management experience in a technical role required.

Manager, Network Engineering Compensation
$153,830.00 - $162,917.00
