JOB SUMMARY:

The Maui Diver’s Associate is the face of the brand to our customer and is responsible for educating and delivering highly satisfying brand experiences to our customer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Drives total store results by consistently achieving sales per hour goals.
  • Sell based on turn system and romance techniques.
  • Communicate courteously and clearly with customers.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of all products and promotions.
  • Enter all customer data into CRM database and utilize customer data to follow up via phone or email.
  • Clientel existing customers to build return sales and increase loyalty.
  • Oyster set up - unpack oysters, oyster handling, and clip oysters. (Combination locations only).
  • Knowledge of add-on sale with Pick-a-Pearl - drill, set, and glue pearls to mountings.
  • Handle return, special order, layaway, and sizing requests.
  • Follow security guidelines no more than 3 items on a pad at a time.
  • Maintains awareness of all sales, promotions, and applicable ringing procedures.
  • Open/Close function: handle cash, handle jewelry, clean floors, showcases, and counters.
  • Conduct daily high-ticket inventory and store high-ticket items it safe.
  • Assist with price changes and pull backs.
  • Promote financing with customers and build the sale.
  • Maintains visual standards throughout store and assists in cleaning/housekeeping.
  • Maintains a safe working environment and communicates all maintenance issues with management.
  • Provide feedback on opportunities for improvement or any issues that affect store performance.

Education and Experience:

  • 2 years prior sales experience a plus preferably in a commission based environment.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite experience. POS system, basic math, and cash handling experience.
  • Prior experience with SalesForce software preferred.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Possesses and demonstrates genuine and sincere desire to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work within a team environment, take initiative, and be able to work without direct supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, time management, organizational skills, ability to be detail and multi-task oriented, follow-through, and complete all projects in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in an outdoor environment while exposed to the elements.
  • Bending and kneeling is required and reaching into tight awkward spaces.
  • Flexible to the needs of the business, work varying shifts, primarily during peak periods.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by manager.
