The Provider Relations Specialist maintains and expands the international network of doctors and hospitals, including managing existing contract relationships, contracting with new providers, verifying and updating information in provider profiles and researching qualified healthcare options around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with contracted providers, including training and problem resolution.
  • Build relationships with contracted doctors and hospitals.
  • Create profiles for new providers.
  • Verify and update information on profiled doctors and hospitals.
  • Support the contracting process with international doctors and hospitals, including securing discounts and participating in custom agreement discussions.
  • Research and verify credentials on new providers and hospitals for contracting.
  • Collaborate with Provider Finance colleagues to resolve contracted provider claims issues as necessary.
  • Support research and completion of PreTravel reports for VIP clients.
  • Other research projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience required.
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages required, such as Portuguese, German, Japanese, or Italian.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of health insurance terminology preferred.
  • Substantial international travel or expatriate experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume work environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of world geography and other cultures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and SharePoint a plus.
  • Experience with databases a plus.
  • Employee is required to have at minimum an internet speed of 75 Mbps (standard high speed internet access).
