Your responsibilities include checking the teeth and gums of a patient before they meet with the dentist. An international dental hygienist may travel to locations that need dental hygienists, or they may work overseas with organizations that provide dental services to less-developed countries.

Cultural sensitivity, strong communication, and adaptability are vital soft skills for working with diverse patient populations and teams. These skills ensure effective patient care, regulatory compliance, and successful integration into various international dental settings.

What are some common challenges International Dental Hygienists face when adapting to new countries or healthcare systems?

International Dental Hygienists often encounter challenges such as navigating different licensing requirements, adjusting to varying standards of care, and overcoming language or cultural barriers with patients and colleagues.
