Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Air Dominance and Strike Division is one of Anduril's fastest growing and largest divisions. Our goal is to fundamentally reshape the way future peer conflicts are fought by developing next-generation collaborative combat aircraft, missiles, and the software that powers these autonomous weapons. The Division is made up of three separate Business Lines: Autonomous Airpower, Advanced Effects, and Mission Autonomy. Air Dominance and Strike has developed hardware including the Fury and Barracuda Autonomous Air Vehicles and software extended from onboard autonomy to offboard orchestration.. We continually strive to push the boundaries of the possible in terms of capability and redefine performance for the defense industry.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Mission Autonomy (MA) Business Development (BD) Team, within Anduril's Air Dominance and Strike Division, is responsible for identifying, shaping, capturing, and growing new opportunities and capabilities that cement Anduril as the leader in high-performance autonomous systems. To meet current and future client needs, the team must deeply understand the users' pain points, how current solutions fail to address existing gaps, and how Anduril products can deliver more effective mission outcomes. BD team members serve as the bridge between clients and the broader Anduril team; they convey client perspectives to other teams across the enterprise while also serving as the Anduril brand ambassador externally.
As Anduril deepens its partnerships with allied nations across Europe, we are seeking a Director, Business Development - Mission Autonomy (International) to lead business development for Mission Autonomy software and integrated autonomous systems with European defense partners. Based in our DC office, you will own the European growth strategy end-to-end - from identifying and shaping opportunities to building enduring relationships with allied defense organizations and industry partners across many countries in Europe like the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, or Belgium. Our European engagements are complex, multi-year partnerships that go well beyond product sales: they involve technology integration, co-production arrangements, and platform-level ecosystem plays that require patience, strategic judgment, and senior-level credibility across multiple countries.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead Anduril's Mission Autonomy growth strategy across European partner nations, with opportunities spanning the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, and additional allied markets.

  • Identify, shape, and capture new international business opportunities for Mission Autonomy software, both as standalone capability and integrated with partner platforms and air vehicles.
  • Develop and execute capture strategies tailored to each country's unique procurement processes, operational requirements, and industrial partnership expectations.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with European defense ministries, military service branches, program offices, and industry partners.
  • Drive complex, multi-year international engagements including technology demonstrations, engineering sprints, co-production arrangements, and platform ecosystem strategies (e.g., establishing Mission Autonomy and Lattice Orchestrator as trusted autonomy solutions to operationalize UxS.
  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate international sales pipeline with clear visibility into opportunity status, partner engagement, and revenue forecasts.
  • Partner across Anduril organizations - including Engineering, Program Management, Government Relations, Marketing, and Legal/Export Compliance - to ensure international engagements meet regulatory requirements and exceed partner expectations.
  • Represent Anduril to European allied audiences: defense officials, industry partners, and at international defense conferences and exhibitions.
  • Translate European partner requirements and operational needs back into Anduril's engineering organization to inform product development priorities and ensure our solutions address allied mission demands.
  • Coordinate closely with Anduril's Government Relations team on export licensing, ITAR/EAR compliance, and foreign military sales (FMS) and direct commercial sales (DCS) pathways.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales or business development, with demonstrated experience in international defense business development, foreign military sales, or allied partnerships.
  • Proven track record of building and managing relationships with European defense organizations at the senior official and program stakeholder level.
  • Working understanding of international defense procurement processes, with specific experience in European allied nations.
  • Familiarity with U.S. export control regimes (ITAR/EAR) and international defense sales mechanisms (FMS, DCS, and government-to-government agreements).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with experience presenting to senior executives, foreign military officials, and industry partners.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 50%, with extended periods in-region as required.
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in a European language other than English.
  • Prior military service or operational experience, particularly in aviation, command and control, or autonomous systems.
  • Direct experience working with entities like the UK MoD, German Bundeswehr, or NATO acquisition organizations.
  • Experience structuring international co-production, technology transfer, or industrial participation agreements.
  • Prior experience at a defense technology company or in a role bridging Silicon Valley-style product development with traditional defense acquisition.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across cultures and in situations with ambiguity, long timelines, and complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Experience working with classified and/or special access programs in an international context.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
