Job description

A U.S. subsidiary of a leading Japanese corn starch manufacturer with over 150 years of history is seeking a motivated professional to join its growing team in Champaign, Illinois.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in international commodity trading, market research, logistics coordination, and business development within a global environment connecting the U.S. and Japan.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, business acumen, and the desire to grow into a future leadership role within the company.
Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase and coordinate corn procurement from U.S. grain suppliers
  • Monitor and analyze U.S. grain market trends
  • Translate and interpret between Japanese and English during meetings and business communications
  • Coordinate logistics, storage, and transportation of grain shipments to Japan
  • Support international business development and sales activities
  • Collaborate with U.S. and Japan-based teams on research and new business initiatives
Qualifications
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English required
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Interest or experience in commodity trading, grain markets, finance, or international business
  • Knowledge of CBOT futures, foreign exchange, or grain trading is a plus
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership potential
