NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

Advance how our customers operate while you advance your career. Join GDIT and Mission Training Complex Korea (MTC-K) as a Network Administrator and build an impactful career in enterprise IT, collaborating with people who are driven and resourceful like you. Our work depends on a Network Administrator joining our team to help build and enable the readiness of our Nation's Army in the Pacific!

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

  • Provides ongoing support for the functionality and efficiency of computer networks (LAN/WAN).

  • Installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems. Monitors and manages data traffic/network performance and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission. Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Enforces security policies.

  • Plans include distribution of data, voice, and VTC over LAN and WAN in classified and unclassified modes for simulations/stimulation networks; MTC Training Network, KTEN, CENTRIX-K, NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and tactical networks.

  • Configure and maintain security posture of the training networks by following all DoW STIGs associated with systems on supported network domains, including VTC, VoIP, CUCM and Layer 2 networking devices.

  • Assist with troubleshooting all problems that arise with the network to maintain optimal performance and provide relevant operational feedback and reports.

  • Perform other duties as required.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BS in Information Technology or Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience

  • Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience with MTC and military experience preferred

  • Required Technical Skills:

    • Implements technical solutions in the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architecture

    • Advanced troubleshooting and maintenance skills on CISCO router, switch, and firewall configuration/ architecture to include an understanding of firewall theory and configuration.

    • Understands and implements the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification & Accreditation process and procedures

    • Understands the technical requirements to extend a remote training network enclaves utilizing local NEC circuits

    • Evaluates existing network systems to ensure network capacity meets current and future network requirements

    • Installs, configures, and maintains secure data and voice networks within various classified enclaves utilizing VLANs and EIGRIP tunneling to segregate and manage network traffic

    • Strong understanding and practical experience with STIG configuration standards

  • Certification: SEC+ is required; Network+ or CCNA will be considered

  • Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required

  • Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Must meet DoW 8570 IAM I certification

    • Superb communication skills with a strong emphasis on clear, thorough technical documentation

    • Strong analytical thinking and advanced problem-solving capabilities in complex network security environments

    • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to escalate appropriately

    • Must be able to perform with minimal guidance

  • Location: On Customer Site/moderate travel to other customer sites throughout Korea and Pacific AoR

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $70,658 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
