Job Description: International Accountant

Summary/Objective

The International Accountant will be responsible for various accounting functions within our corporate accounting group. This position will be responsible for handling daily invoices, working with the international entities and supporting the international team with accounting functions.

The International Accountant will report to the Corporate Controller and work closely with others in the accounting department.

Essential Functions

  • Accounting and reporting for multiple subsidiary entities
  • Review and process international financial transactions and payments
  • Manage foreign exchange transactions and currency conversions
  • Gather and translate financial statements of global entities into USD for consolidated reporting
  • Analyze and interpret international financial data and trends
  • Assist with the preparation of international tax returns and filings
  • Collaborate with foreign subsidiaries to streamline accounting processes
  • Monitor and report on international account balances and discrepancies
  • Provide support for international budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Assist in developing and implementing international accounting policies and procedures
  • Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations between global entities
  • Prepare and analyze financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for international operations
  • Support international financial planning and analysis initiatives
  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving international finance and operations
  • Processing expense reports and dealing with fraudulent charges when necessary
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish tax law
  • Ability to compile data into Excel for analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of agricultural terminology is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
