Job description

MB Attorney Search is conducting a search for an Employment Attorney with at least five years of experience to join a respected boutique management-side labor and employment practice in the greater Milwaukee area.

This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys counseling employers on day-to-day workplace matters and helping clients navigate employment issues proactively before disputes arise. The position offers substantial client interaction, hands-on responsibility, and close collaboration with experienced labor and employment attorneys in a collegial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise employers on day-to-day employment and workplace matters.
  • Draft and review employee handbooks, workplace policies, offer letters, and related employment documents.
  • Counsel clients regarding hiring, discipline, termination, leave, benefits, accommodation, and compliance issues.
  • Assist employers with internal investigations and workplace assessments.
  • Provide guidance on matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and leave laws.
  • Support management training and preventative employment practices.
  • Work closely with business clients to develop practical and proactive employment solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of employment law experience, with significant counseling and advisory experience preferred.
  • Strong drafting, communication, and client counseling skills.
  • Experience advising employers on workplace policies and employment compliance matters.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and provide practical business-oriented guidance.
  • Strong academic credentials and professional judgment.
  • Wisconsin bar admission required or ability to obtain admission promptly.
