Job description

Summary

As part of a team, this position repairs, builds, assembles, tests, prepares for shipping of electrical and mechanical products following instructions.

Primary duties and Responsibilities

  1. Operates within standard operating procedures.
  2. Cleans and maintains work area.
  3. Complies with safety procedures
  4. Assemble mechanical subassemblies.
  5. Verifies operation of assemblies to documented standards.
  6. Rejects or reworks products outside of specifications.
  7. Tests or assists in testing product operation.
  8. Initiates work without direct supervision.
  9. Operate forklift to move raw materials, subassemblies, and production machines.
  10. Continuously looks for ways to improve workflow and processes.
  11. Maintains the assigned schedule.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess the skills to perform some of the duties listed. The individual must also be willing to learn new skills. Below is a listing of general requirements:

  • Experience/Aptitude

Industrial maintenance, machine shop, or technical experience is preferred, but not required.

  • Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Problem Solving

Ability to isolate problems and formulate/implement corrective actions.

  • Computer Skills

Microsoft office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Internal communication through email and meeting notifications.
