Job description

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Jonesboro, AR (72401)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (overtime may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

  • Process billing information and collect payments when required

  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs

  • Provide superior customer service to all patients

  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

  • Travel to additional sites when needed, Reliable transportation required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment

  • Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards:

  • In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment

  • Exceptional customer service

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
