Job description

PHARMACY Intern

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacy Managers, Team Leaders, and Pharmacists and according to standard procedures, upon receiving physician orders, assists in the preparation, distribution, and documentation of medication processes within the health care system.

Qualification

Education: Must be enrolled in a college of pharmacy

Licensure: Registered as a pharmacy intern with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy

Certification: N/A

Experience: Prior hospital, long-term care or retail experience preferred (not required)

Skills/Other:  

         Possess good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and problem solving skills

         Able to read and write printed material in English

         Proficiency with computer keyboard operations

         Ability to compute simple algebraic ratios, volume/volume percentage and weight/volume percentage

         Possess ability to work well with other health care workers and perform as team member

         Flexibility in scheduling essential as mentor/trainer of new coworkers
