Position Title: Social Media Intern

 

The Social Media Intern will assist Corporate Communications by creating a social media content calendar for the Esperion corporate social media channels to include drafting language and graphics for posts, optimizing reach and engagement, and more. Position is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week for 6 months.


Preferred Location: Remote – US 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

The intern will be heavily involved with optimizing Esperion’s corporate social media channels by:

  • Creating a comprehensive monthly social media content calendar
  • Developing engaging content (text, images, videos) for various social media platforms
  • Creating graphics and videos to accompany social media posts
  • Finding reputable sources for content 
  • Recommending ways to enhance reach – such as boosting posts, hashtags etc.
  • Monitoring performance and adjusting content as needed

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

  • Must be actively enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor degree with an graphic design/marketing focus or other related area.
  • Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences
  • Experience creating social media graphics and videos using Canva (must be prepared to show samples)
  • Experience writing content specifically for social media
  • Enthusiasm for social media and digital marketing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Self-motivated and able to think critically and work independently 
  • Detail-oriented, accurate and thorough
