Description

The Window Tint Installer is responsible for preparing vehicle windows and accurately measuring, cutting, and installing automotive window film, as well as assisting with vehicle wrap preparation and installation, in accordance with customer specifications, company standards, and applicable tinting regulations. This position requires strong attention to detail, steady workmanship, proper use of tinting and wrapping tools and materials, and a commitment to delivering clean, professional installations that enhance vehicle appearance, comfort, and customer satisfaction.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Consult with customers and service staff to confirm window tint needs, shade selection, and job requirements.

Prepare vehicles for window tint installation by cleaning, drying, and inspecting glass surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and a high-quality finish.

Accurately measure, cut, shape, and install automotive window film using proper tools, techniques, and materials.

Apply tint film smoothly and professionally, minimizing bubbles, creases, gaps, contamination, or other installation imperfections.

Use heat guns, squeegees, blades, plotters, and other tinting equipment safely and effectively during the installation process.

Remove old, damaged, or non-compliant window film as needed while protecting vehicle glass, trim, and interior surfaces.

Prepare vehicle surfaces and assist with the measurement, cutting, application, and finishing of vinyl wraps, decals, or graphics while protecting paint, trim, and body panels.

Inspect completed tint installations for quality, fit, appearance, and customer specifications before returning the vehicle.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper disposal of film scraps, blades, liners, and used materials.

Monitor and maintain tint film, tools, and installation supply inventory; notify management when supplies need to be replenished.

Follow company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable federal, state, and local window tint laws and safety standards.

Accurately document completed work, materials used, and any concerns or recommendations related to the service performed.

Provide courteous customer service and communicate professionally with team members, advisors, and management.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS 

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. 

General mechanical skills. 

Manual Dexterity. 

Good judgment. 


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or the equivalent. 

ASE certification preferred. 

Related experience preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT 

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, stooping, and reaching.

Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and chemicals.

Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs.

Occasional attendance at social gatherings.

Ability to travel occasionally.
