Empowered Staffing is partnered with a top digital marketing agency focused on paid-search, social, amazon marketing and organic search. They work with clients across a multitude of industries, including eCommerce, Consumer Services, Consumer Goods, and B2B, to name a few. Our client is seeking a Senior Web Engineer to serve as the technical lead for their new Website Services & CRO division. 

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead the technical planning and implementation of website projects from concept through deployment.

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, templates, and functionality.

• Implement websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

• Partner with design, SEO, CRO, and product teams to determine technical feasibility and implementation approach.

• Implement technical SEO enhancements including schema markup, redirects, structured data, Core Web Vitals improvements, metadata, and page speed optimization.

• Configure and implement GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, and A/B testing platforms.

• Manage deployments using Git, staging environments, QA testing, accessibility standards, and performance optimization.

• Support multiple client websites while maintaining quality, scalability, and stability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7-10+ years of professional web development experience.

• Expert-level HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills.

• Advanced custom WordPress development experience.

• Experience with at least one major eCommerce platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento/Adobe Commerce, or BigCommerce).

• Strong background in technical architecture, implementation planning, effort estimation, and deployment strategy.

• Experience implementing GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, and A/B testing tools.

• Knowledge of technical SEO implementation and website performance optimization.

• Experience with Git, staging environments, responsive QA, browser testing, accessibility, and production deployments.
