Reports to: Live Production Supervisor, Kentucky Farm Bureau Studios

Job Status: Hourly (15 - 20 hours per week)

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Location: On-site at KFB State Office in Louisville, KY

Term: August 2026 to December 2026

The Video Production Intern, Kentucky Farm Bureau Studios is responsible for assisting with KFB Studios Field Productions and Studio Productions. This role will be assigned tasks such as video projects to edit, operating cameras, lighting, audio, and loading and maintaining gear.  These can consist of training videos, internal videos, and external marketing videos. Videos edited will be under the direction of the Live Production Supervisor, KFB Studios to approve creativity and quality. This position will also aid with the organization of the Studios video server. 

Responsibilities

At the direction of the Live Production Supervisor, KFB Studios, assist in creating video content that supports organizational initiatives and the company's brand, mission and reputation.

Assist with maintenance of storage server by logging footage and entering metadata.

Apply the company's guiding principles in daily work and decision making.

Follow the department's prescribed content review process so all new videos are reviewed, edited and approved prior to distribution.

Help uphold a consistent corporate image in all videos, distribution channels and events.

Assist in special video presentations for major KFB activities, such as the annual state convention, conferences, etc.

Assist with studio setup for video productions that take place in the studio.

Complete editing assignments for studio and field production work.

Assist with logging footage ingested into the media management system.

Help maintain field production equipment.

Assist Communications staff in set-up and execution of news conferences.

Able to work irregular hours to travel across state with KFB Studios crew.

Regular, predictable attendance.

Equipment:  Telephone; Camera; Audio Recorders; Telephone interface, digital editing; Professional audio console and production board; Video camera and related news gathering equipment; Video editing equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma required. Must currently be enrolled in college courses.

Intern should possess fundamentals of field production, camera operation, lighting, audio recording, and editing in adobe applications.

Broadcast or media experience desired.

Full understanding of and capabilities to produce professional videos. Skilled in creating the right composition, lighting, and background for filming, working with people and interviewing others, and a strong knowledge of post-production work.

Exceptional people skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, business users and executive management.

Self-motivated worker that can function independently but also interact effectively within a team concept.

Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Very high attention to detail and follow-through skills.

Proven skills with computers and video editing software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, and digital video systems).

Availability to perform work assignments before or after office hours, or travel overnight, to meet job demands
