Jaxon Engineering is looking for a full-time, in-office, Project Manager to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute, lead, and own complex and mission-critical projects in a highly specialized field. 

 

The successful candidate will be an effective team player, possess an ability to work across interdepartmental teams, and be able to interface and communicate effectively with personnel, customers, program management, and corporate leadership. They will provide operational oversight of project: focused on scheduling, purchasing, asset and manpower allocation, and budget management. The selected candidate will empower those around them while stretching performance standards for themself and others. This is a results-oriented "doer" who passionately finds ways over, around, and through barriers to success.

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Top-Secret security clearance.


Salary: $125,000 - $145,000


This position requires the ability to travel as necessary.

Requirements

- Comprehensive expertise in industry-leading project management best practices 

- Advanced understanding of DoD contracting mechanisms (instruments, scope, schedule, funding/budget)

- Creating and maintaining project schedules in MS Project

- Highly skilled in maintaining excellent professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Possesses strong proficiency in the effective management of personnel and resource schedules, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization

- Possesses a strong and proven ability to manage and resolve conflicts constructively and efficiently.

- Exhibits the ability to strategically collaborate across organizational layers, ensuring alignment and contribution to corporate goals

- Ability to effectively oversee risk assessment processes and the creation of mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and smooth execution

- Strong leadership qualities to support the ongoing growth of the company

- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement of project management processes

- Orchestration of the purchasing and logistics for project execution

- Development of complete technical and cost related documents 

- Management of multiple projects with multiple stakeholders

- Strong ability to effectively lead, manage, and mentor project management teams.

- Provide support and clear communication for project execution teams

- Possesses strong and effective communication skills, enabling clear and concise interaction with both clients and internal teams


Job Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science degree plus five years of experience or ten years of experience; experience must be in project management for a specifically related field such as DoD contracting or EMP protection

- Experience coordinating project teams and schedules

- Proficient with MS Office suite

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret clearance

- PMP or EIT/PE desired but not required

- A willingness to be coached and willing to learn new skills in a growing industry

- Experience with NetSuite a plus
