Position Overview

Summit Behavioral Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapists to join our team. In this full-time remote role, you will provide essential mental health support to individuals facing various mental health challenges. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in guiding clients on their journey to recovery and wellness with personalized, empathetic care.

About the Organization

Located in Hillsboro, Oregon, Summit Behavioral Health is a leading community health clinic committed to delivering high-quality and accessible mental health services. We believe in the transformative power of therapy and strive to create a supportive environment where both clients and staff can thrive. Our organization values diversity and inclusion, ensuring that all voices are heard and respected in our mission to improve community mental health.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while connecting with clients in a supportive and collaborative virtual environment. Our clinic uses advanced telehealth technology to facilitate secure and effective therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations. You will coordinate with a diverse team of mental health professionals, including case managers and psychiatrists, working towards a shared goal of holistic client care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings utilizing standardized tools to evaluate clients' mental health status, including DSM-5 criteria, tailored to create individualized treatment plans.
  • Develop, implement, and revise personalized treatment plans based on continuous evaluation of client progress and feedback.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that employ evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate intensively with multidisciplinary teams, sharing insights and strategies to optimize care and integrating psychiatric services into the therapeutic process.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, equipping them with the tools and understanding to actively participate in the recovery process.
  • Maintain detailed and secure client records, upholding all ethical standards and legal requirements for documentation.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Summit Behavioral Health, you will work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. You will have the opportunity to employ culturally responsive therapeutic practices that resonate with clients from various backgrounds, ensuring that care is both effective and respectful.

Qualifications
  • A valid and current state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology.
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating knowledge of assessment techniques and treatment modalities.
  • Solid understanding of evidence-based treatments for a wide range of mental health conditions and ability to apply these methods in practice.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong therapeutic relationships that motivate clients towards recovery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with team members and documentation practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialized training in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or family therapy.
  • Prior experience in a community health setting or a telehealth platform.
  • Background in cultural competency with a focus on working with underserved populations.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • This role includes a generous sign-on bonus to support your transition to our team.
  • Comprehensive benefits package featuring health insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities, including access to continuing education resources and workshops in mental health practices.
  • A supportive environment with regular supervision and mentorship to foster your professional growth.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Summit Behavioral Health, we are committed to the continuous development of our staff. Our therapists have pathways for advancement into supervisory roles, opportunities to lead training sessions, and involvement in program development activities aimed at enhancing service delivery.
