Our Geotechnical Engineering Intern will assist in developing internal design databases, summarize and interpret field data from Geopier ground improvement projects, and support our engineering initiatives.

What You'll Do
  • Data entry and assist in updating geotechnical data base management system
  • Update and improve Geopier database systems
  • Perform technical calculations with supervision from senior staff
  • Assist with interpreting geotechnical data, project drawings, and preparation of final design documents
  • Reduce geotechnical data and prepare technical summary graphs, tables, and PowerPoint presentations of technical data
  • Assist with preparation of quantity take offs
  • Provide proactive support to the Geopier Team
  • Work with leadership on ways to improve & sustain processes
  • Represent the company and the Geopier Team in a positive, supportive, and professional manner
What You'll Need
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills; ability to communicate across the business
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
  • Basic computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Proficient with AutoCAD 2016 or later
  • Completion of basic soil mechanics course preferred
Your Education
  • Currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
