Job Summary

Passionate about software development and interested in how technology supports investment management? Join a collaborative team where you will help build practical solutions used by investment professionals and gain hands-on experience with Microsoft's business application platform.

This co-op position is dedicated to the ISG CRM team within the Investment Solutions Group. The team develops, configures and supports the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform for Investment Management. You will work with the team for the duration of the co-op term, collaborating with business stakeholders and technology partners to enhance CRM capabilities, automate processes, improve reporting and support reliable day-to-day operation of the platform.

The role will also provide exposure to the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate, as the team builds connected applications, workflows and insights around Dynamics 365.

What you will do:

  • Develop and configure solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support Investment Management business processes and user needs.

  • Build and enhance Power Apps, Power Automate workflows and Power BI reports or dashboards that integrate with CRM data and processes.

  • Work with business partners to understand requirements, break problems into manageable tasks and translate needs into maintainable technical solutions.

  • Configure data models, forms, views, business rules, security and other platform components; contribute code or extensions where appropriate.

  • Investigate issues, troubleshoot defects and support the stability and usability of the Dynamics 365 platform and related solutions.

  • Participate in testing, documentation, code/configuration reviews and deployment activities using team development practices and tools.

  • Collaborate with developers, analysts and Investment Management stakeholders, clearly communicating decisions, assumptions and progress.

  • Look for opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience and responsibly automate repeatable work.

What you will bring:

  • Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.

  • Foundational software development skills and an understanding of object-oriented programming, APIs, data structures and software development practices.

  • Experience with, or a strong interest in learning, Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dataverse and CRM concepts such as entities/tables, relationships, forms, views and business processes.

  • Experience with, or interest in, the Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.

  • Knowledge of C#, .NET and JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with JSON, REST APIs or web technologies is an asset.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL; an understanding of data modelling and data quality is valuable.

  • Experience with Git and source control; familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD or application lifecycle management is an asset.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or cloud application concepts is an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical teammates and business stakeholders.

  • Coursework, personal projects, internships or a portfolio demonstrating application development, automation, analytics or CRM experience is an asset.
