Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our Maintenance/Controls team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry, working on projects that drive efficiency and innovation in our manufacturing processes.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Maintenance and controls team in breakdown troubleshooting and repair. Along with future preventative measures.
  • Learn various software packages to create and edit PLCs, HMI, Vision systems, etc..
  • Work with the engineering team to create new manufacturing stations from scratch.
  • Assist the Controls engineers in the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, quality, and HSE) to design and implement process and equipment improvements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
  • Provide support for various engineering projects as needed.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Preferred Prior internship or project experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA
