Job Title: Finance Intern
Location: Eastover Mill, Eastover, SC

Internship Type: 3-month Summer Paid Internship (Fulltime)
Position Summary
The Finance Intern will support the Controller at the mill manufacturing facility with daily financial activities, reporting, and analysis. This role provides handson exposure to manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and internal controls while supporting plant leadership with accurate and timely financial information. The intern will gain practical experience in a fastpaced industrial environment while developing foundational finance and accounting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Controller with daily and monthly financial activities at the mill
- Support monthend close processes, including data collection, reconciliation, and reporting
- Help track and analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and operational expenses
- Assist with inventory accounting, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation
- Prepare and maintain financial spreadsheets and basic reports for plant leadership
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
- Assist with documentation for audits, internal controls, and compliance requirements
- Partner with operations and production teams to understand financial impacts of plant activity
- Participate in special finance projects related to cost controls, efficiency, or process improvements
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information at all times
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Strong interest in finance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, spreadsheets, data organization)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Professional communication skills and ability to work crossfunctionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship, coursework, or experience in finance, accounting, or manufacturing
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus
- Basic understanding of cost accounting or financial statements
