Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a community-based vaccination initiative. The RN will administer a variety of immunizations, including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis A & B, Tdap, Shingles, Pneumococcal, HPV, RSV, and other CDC-recommended vaccines. This role requires strong clinical judgment, exceptional patient care skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate is flexible, patient-focused, and committed to promoting community health through safe and efficient vaccine administration.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer immunizations following CDC guidelines and organizational protocols.
  • Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccines, benefits, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Maintain accurate electronic documentation of all immunizations and patient interactions.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and medication administration standards.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Deliver compassionate, professional care while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain vaccine inventory and ensure proper storage and handling procedures.
  • Support community vaccination initiatives and public health programs.
  • Adapt to changing workflows and patient volumes while maintaining high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization administration.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Flexible with scheduling and work assignments.
  • Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in retail health, ambulatory care, occupational health, public health, or vaccination clinics.
  • Experience administering a high volume of vaccinations.
