Job description

Lead end-to-end Solution Architecture for healthcare platforms, ensuring alignment with Optum Health Enterprise Architecture standards, technology strategy, and governance. Provide expert Technology Consultation, Application Portfolio Management, and Vendor Management to optimize technology investments. Design, integrate, and maintain complex systems utilizing core healthcare standards and protocols, including HL7, FHIR, EDI, DICOM, RIS / PACS, Master Data Management (MDM), Electronic Health Record Systems (Epic is a plus), and Interface Engines.

Required skills: Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of equivalent technology experience in lieu of a degree (e.g., software engineering or systems architecture). 7+ years of healthcare domain expertise across Provider, Patient, Clinical, Claims, Payer, Value-Based Care, Fee-for-Service, and System Interoperability. Experience in Enterprise or Solution Architecture within complex IT environments. Experience working with key healthcare standards and integration technologies (e.g., HL7, FHIR, EDI, DICOM, RIS / PACS, Master Data Management, Electronic Health Record Systems, Interface Engines). Experience formulating technology strategy, technical governance, and providing architecture consultation to senior business/technical leaders.

Preferred skillset: Additional Experience in working with key healthcare standards and integration technologies (e.g., HL7, FHIR, EDI, DICOM, RIS / PACS, Master Data Management, Electronic Health Record Systems, Interface Engines).
