Position Overview

The Peer Support Behavioral Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our innovative team. This remote position allows you to provide crucial support and therapeutic guidance to patients in need, focusing on enhancing their emotional and mental well-being. As part of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will collaborate effectively with primary care providers to create a holistic treatment approach tailored to individual patient needs.

Work Environment

This role is designed to be performed remotely, allowing you to create a productive and comfortable workspace. You will be responsible for managing client appointments and consultations, supported by our clinicโ€™s infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth patient intakes, focusing on both diagnostic and functional evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with primary care providers.
  • Provide brief but focused therapeutic interventions for patients experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Assess the unique needs of each patient and recommend appropriate referrals to either our clinic's specialty services or external mental health facilities.
  • Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups and adjust treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal care delivery.
  • Develop relapse prevention plans that empower patients to maintain stability and achieve their treatment goals.
  • Coordinate health service delivery related to behavioral issues, ensuring connections with providers inside and outside the primary care setting, with patient consent.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and diagnostic information to support ongoing treatment and care coordination.
  • Work with patients to cultivate healthier lifestyle choices and facilitate behavioral change relating to both mental and physical health.
  • Offer insight and consultation to clinic management regarding behavioral health services, contributing to program evaluation and outcome improvement.
  • Develop self-management skills and educational materials to empower patients in their recovery and treatment journeys.
  • Adhere to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals, ensuring a high standard of care at all times.
  • Complete additional assigned duties and responsibilities as needed to support the clinicโ€™s mission.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse outpatient population, including individuals facing a range of mental health and psychosocial issues. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your expertise will be crucial in guiding patients from various backgroundsโ€”ensuring they receive comprehensive and culturally competent care throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Masterโ€™s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required.
  • A current and valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) License is essential.
  • Solid understanding of mental health assessment processes, treatment planning, and therapeutic modalities including DSM-IV diagnoses and behavioral therapy techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess patient needs effectively and devise appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various patientsโ€™ needs and treatment goals within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Spanish-language proficiency is preferred, enhancing communication with bilingual patients.
  • Experience working within integrated healthcare settings, particularly in liaison roles with primary care providers.
  • Proven track record of working with diverse populations and familiarity with community resources for additional patient support.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 โ€“ 105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, new hires will be eligible for a sign-on bonus as an incentive to join our dedicated team.
