HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT
As an Accounts Payable Intern, you will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities. If you are experienced in Accounting and want to be part of a team that builds quality, state-of-the art passenger trains, this is the career for you.
This is an onsite role. Candidates must be able to work in office Monday-Friday (20-40 hours per week).
Key Activities
• Prepare journal entries.
• Process Accounts Payable invoices on a daily basis.
• Act as liaison for vendors to reconcile any billing discrepancies.
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standard.
• Perform accounting work necessary to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Prepare and provide support during annual interim and year-end audits.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly/yearly closing activities.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 2 years related accounting experience, preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Discreet in handling highly confidential material
• Fluent in English
• Must be located in the Salt Lake City, UT metro area. Relocation is not provided.
