Internship Overview
The Finance Intern will support Accounting, Tax and the broader Finance team through hands-on work in accounting, tax, financial reporting and analysis, along with monthly and quarter end GL close-related activities. This role is designed to provide practical exposure to core financial accounting and reporting processes while also leveraging AI and automation tools to improve process and analysis efficiency, and decision-making. The intern will partner with team members to analyze financial information, support recurring deliverables, and identify opportunities to streamline work through tools such as Copilot and other AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support accounting, tax and financial reporting responsibilities including monthly and quarter end close tasks, as well as variance analysis activities for the broader Finance team
  • Assist with preparation of financial reports, management reporting packages, tax, and analysis used for business decision-making
  • Participate in accounting activities such as reconciliations, close support, accounts payable processing, and research related to general ledger and financial reporting processes
  • Work with cross-functional finance teams to understand revenue, cost, and operational drivers impacting business performance
  • Use Excel and AI-enabled tools such as Copilot to improve reporting, streamline recurring tasks, and enhance data analysis
  • Help identify automation opportunities in month-end, quarter-end, and planning processes
  • Prepare clear summaries, presentations, and recommendations for finance stakeholders
Qualifications
Required:
  • 3rd year college student and above pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and interest in accounting, tax, financial reporting, and financial planning processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and foundational understanding of financial statements
  • Ability to organize data, perform quantitative analysis, and communicate findings clearly
  • Interest in using AI and automation tools to improve finance processes and productivity

Preferred but not required:
  • Coursework or internship experience in accounting, tax, corporate finance, budgeting, or financial analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Copilot, and other generative AI tools in an academic or project setting
