What You'll Do:
BHI Senior Living is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join spring intern cohort for 2026. This immersive opportunity will give hands-on, real-world experience working at our corporate office with exposure to our communities and departments.
The Intern will focus on:
  • Create visually engaging designs for both print and digital platforms using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Apply design principles such as typography, color theory, layout, and branding to produce professional, cohesive materials.
  • Prepare and format files to meet production standards, ensuring accuracy in resolution, bleed, and file formats.
  • Contribute creative concepts and fresh ideas to design projects and campaigns.
  • Maintain consistency with established brand guidelines across all design deliverables.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to support project goals.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines while staying organized and dependable.
  • Communicate design concepts clearly and receive feedback constructively.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a positive, can-do attitude while growing design skills.
  • Showcase creativity and technical skills through the development and presentation of design work.

Who You Are:
Required:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related design field
  • Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color, layout, and branding
  • Basic knowledge of print and digital production standards (bleed, resolution, file formats)
  • Portfolio that demonstrates creativity and design skills (class projects welcome)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow brand guidelines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks or deadlines
  • Positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to contribute fresh, creative ideas
  • Willing and able to commute to the BHI Central Office and any of the BHI Communities
