Job description

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support our Printed Circuit Board Team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with PCB-related electrical simulation and analysis while working alongside experienced engineers. You will contribute to signal integrity and power integrity projects, analyze and communicate results, and help improve engineering workflows and documentation. This is an in-office position located in Pullman, WA and is ideal for a local university student who is available to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year.

A typical day asan Engineering Internmight include:

  • Assist engineers with signal integrity and power integrity simulations of printed circuit board layouts and interconnect structures using PCB Design CAD tools.

  • Analyze and interpret simulation results and communicate findings to engineering teams.

  • Document simulation methodologies, results, and recommendations.

  • Support continuous improvement of engineering workflows and processes.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members on technical projects.

This job might be for you if:

  • You are a current student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least two years of technical coursework completed

  • You have strong proficiency incircuit analysis

  • Experience in programming and script files

  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills

  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL

  • Negative drug test result(s)

Pay Range Data - $24.25 - $33.00 hourly
