It is our goal that your internship experience is a fun educational experience. The cross departmental approach at such a small company enhances your skill set beyond any learning of the classroom setting. You will have the opportunity to work with almost every department. The HR Intern will support the department's daily activities and perform various administrative tasks. They have the opportunity to learn about the different disciplines of HR including Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, Employee Engagement, HR Policies & Procedure, and Payroll & Benefits.  

What you'll get to do

Talent Acquisition  

  • Assist with talent acquisition efforts 
  • Post, update, and remove job postings from job boards, careers pages and social networks 
  • Schedule Interviews 
  • Schedule onboarding meetings 
  • Prepare all new hire paperwork via Docusign 
  • Assist with recruiting activities for the internship program: 
  • Post intern positions on university and internship job sites 
  • Screen resumes 
  • Schedule interviews 
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding 
  • Act as HRBP for Intern population 

Employee Engagement 

  • Participate in planning & organizing company events (i.e. holiday parties, lunches, fashion show viewings, intern program events, etc.) 
  • Support in Company initiatives (i.e. DEI, Sustainability, ERG's, etc.)  

Administrative - Policies & Procedures  

  • Maintain employee electronic files; update regularly to include new and terminated employees 
  • Maintain department records and reports 
  • Assist with other department projects including employer branding, employee engagement, etc.  

Payroll & Benefits  

  • Reporting and audit support (401k, worker's compensation, etc.). 
  • Data entry into ADP. 
  • Assist employees with HR kiosk and vendor systems, including self-service. 
  • Support with communication drafting and meeting organizing.  
  • Creating, implementing, and updating P&B documents and templates. 
  • Participate in planning and organizing employee wellness topics and events. 
  • Assist P&B manager with project-based work.

A reasonable estimate of the current hourly rate is $17.00/hour.
