Intern Program information

What is an intern program?

An intern program is a structured opportunity offered by organizations for students or recent graduates to gain practical work experience in a professional setting. These programs typically last a few months and are designed to help participants develop relevant skills, network with professionals, and explore potential career paths. Internships can be paid or unpaid and often include mentorship, training, and hands-on projects. Completing an intern program can enhance a resume and improve job prospects after graduation.

What types of projects and responsibilities can I expect as an intern in an intern program?

As an intern in a structured Intern Program, you can expect to work on a variety of entry-level projects that contribute to the team's goals, such as assisting with data analysis, preparing reports, or participating in brainstorming sessions. Interns often collaborate closely with mentors and team members, attend regular meetings, and may be assigned independent tasks with clear guidance. These programs are designed to provide hands-on experience, foster networking opportunities, and help interns develop professional skills that are valuable for future full-time roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in an intern program, and why are they important?

To thrive in an Intern Program, you typically need foundational knowledge in your field of study, a strong academic record, and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with productivity tools like Microsoft Office, basic project management software, or relevant industry-specific platforms is often required. Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability are essential soft skills that set interns apart. These skills and qualifications help interns contribute effectively, maximize learning opportunities, and transition smoothly into professional roles.

Partnership Marketing Intern

At Kensington Tours, we're looking for a Partnership Marketing Intern to support the planning, execution, and administration of joint marketing and partnership programs across our global partner network. Reporting to the Partnerships & Marketing team, this role offers hands-on exposure to partnership marketing, co-operative campaign development, partner relations, and post-campaign performance analysis within the luxury travel space.

In this role, you will support proposal development for co-op programs, assist with partner communications and data gathering, help manage campaign administration, and contribute to post-campaign reporting and proof of performance. The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and eager to learn how strategic partnerships and joint marketing programs are built, managed, and measured.

Job Description

  • Supporting the development of partnership and co-op marketing proposals, including compiling program details, timelines, and supporting materials.
  • Assisting with general partner interactions, including gathering data, information, and assets required for campaign planning and execution.
  • Supporting the administration of joint marketing and partnership campaigns, including tracking deliverables and key milestones.
  • Assisting with account receivable notices and basic campaign financial tracking in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Supporting post-campaign reporting, proof of performance, and recap materials to demonstrate partner value and results.
  • Maintaining organized records of partner communications, campaign documentation, and reporting materials.
  • Collaborating with internal marketing, sales, and product teams to support partnership initiatives as needed.
  • Contributing to additional partnership marketing projects and initiatives as required.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant business, marketing, communications, or tourism/travel program, with interest in partnership or marketing roles.
  • Strong interest in partnership marketing, joint marketing programs, and partner relationship management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with data, reports, and administrative processes.
  • Ability to work autonomously with guidance and support from the team.
  • Ability to effectively receive, incorporate, and communicate feedback.
  • Interest in working in a KPI-driven, performance-focused organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and collaborative environment.
