Position Overview
The Feature Owners Team within the Systems Organization is seeking a highly motivated Master's or PhD student to support the strategic development of next-generation Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving features. This position is intended for candidates who can make a long-term commitment and contribute to the evolution of future product concepts, feature definitions, and market-driven innovation initiatives.
The selected candidate will work closely with Feature Owners, technical experts, system engineers, and development teams to research emerging industry trends, analyze customer expectations, define feature concepts, and support requirements development for future ADAS platforms.
Purpose of the Role
Over the past several years, the team's primary focus has been on successfully bringing established ADAS features to production programs and ensuring their integration into platform projects. As the industry transitions toward increasingly advanced automation capabilities, the organization must expand its focus beyond feature implementation and invest in future-oriented feature innovation.
This role will help drive investigations into emerging market needs, evolving customer expectations, competitive product strategies, and next-generation ADAS functionalities. The candidate will contribute to the development of new concepts and requirements that support the company's roadmap toward advanced Level 2++, Level 3, and future automated driving solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Research emerging ADAS, automated driving, and mobility technologies.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and OEM strategies to identify future feature opportunities.
  • Investigate customer expectations and user experience needs for next-generation vehicle automation functions.
  • Develop and document innovative feature concepts aligned with company product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Feature Owners to translate concepts into system-level requirements.
  • Support requirements definition activities and assist with feature decomposition.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, software development, architecture, validation, and subject matter experts.
  • Contribute ideas that improve product competitiveness, customer value, and technological differentiation.
  • Support strategic initiatives related to advanced automation programs, including evolving Level 2++, Level 3, and future automated driving capabilities.
