Intern Program Overview
We are committed to building a strong talent pipeline by investing in early career professionals. Our internship and co-op programs provide mentorship, training, hands-on experience, and growth opportunities that empower students to explore their career paths with confidence. Through competitive wages, networking events, social and volunteer activities, professional development workshops, and housing support, we strive to deliver one of the best internship experiences-designed to develop and inspire the talent of tomorrow. Summer interns work full-time (40 hours per week) from May through August. Candidates must be currently enrolled college students actively pursuing a degree to participate in the internship program.
Job Purpose
As an Embedded Software Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of embedded firmware in GNSS / GPS receivers, potentially in areas such as software testability, RF signal tracking, command/protocol handling, and RTOS device driver implementation, among others.
Key Responsibilities
  • Developing, maintaining, and testing of C++ code running in an embedded RTOS environment.
  • Develop scripts to process and analyze collected log data.
  • Testing GNSS receiver operation in a lab environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, functionality, or stability issues.
  • Performing control system analysis or simulation.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature as needed.

Experience Required
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Some experience with C and C++

Preferred Qualifications
Any experience or familiarity with any of the following topics is useful for background knowledge:
  • Embedded C/C++ software development
  • Signal processing algorithms or RF modulation
  • Linear algebra or control system theory
  • Assembly programming or real-time operating system design
  • Conceptual familiarity with RF circuit design principles
  • Data analysis using Python
  • Unit testing or other test automation

Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $19.57 - $35.02 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
