An exciting new dining experience is coming to Ponte Vedra Inn & Club! We are looking for friendly, energetic, and service-focused Baristas to join the opening team at the new Sandpiper Cafรฉ.

What You'll Do
As a Sandpiper Cafรฉ Barista, you will prepare high-quality beverages and cafรฉ offerings while providing warm, personalized service to every member and guest.
Responsibilities include:
  • Help prepare the new Sandpiper Cafรฉ for a successful opening.
  • Welcome members and guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
  • Prepare and serve handcrafted coffee beverages, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and other menu items.
  • Follow established recipes, portioning guidelines, and presentation standards.
  • Safely and efficiently operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other cafรฉ equipment.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu offerings, ingredients, allergens, and daily specials.
  • Accurately process member charges, cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment using the point-of-sale system.
  • Keep beverage stations, displays, counters, and service areas clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready.
  • Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
  • Properly store, label, rotate, and handle all food and beverage products.
  • Monitor product quality and presentation to ensure consistency.
  • Assist with inventory counts, deliveries, and restocking supplies.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards promptly.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings, training sessions, safety courses, and departmental meetings.
  • Support fellow Food & Beverage team members as business needs require.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects assigned by management.

What We're Looking For
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with members, guests, and fellow team members.

Experience
  • One to three years of experience as a barista, cafรฉ attendant, Food & Beverage attendant, or hospitality professional preferred.
  • Experience preparing specialty coffee beverages and operating espresso equipment preferred.
  • Luxury hospitality, private club, or resort experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience helping open a new venue is a plus but not required.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso equipment.
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
  • Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to multitask while remaining friendly, organized, and composed.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to safely operate espresso machines, blenders, and other cafรฉ equipment.
  • Ability to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule
Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including:
