Job Title: Sleep & Wake up

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Sleep/Wake-up strategies for ECUs in automotive systems.
  • Develop and integrate network management (NM) functions across CAN, LIN, FlexRay, or Ethernet networks.
  • Configure and implement AUTOSAR BSW modules related to NM, ComM, EcuM, and power management.
  • Analyze and optimize ECU behavior during power mode transitions (e.g., Run → Sleep → Wake-up).
  • Ensure reliable wake-up sources handling (e.g., CAN wake-up, IO wake-up, timer wake-up).
  • Collaborate with system architects to align software with vehicle E/E architecture requirements.
  • Perform debugging and root cause analysis for vehicle-level communication and low-power issues.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and system test cases for NM and sleep/wake functionality.
  • Support vehicle integration and validation activities, including HIL/SIL testing.
  • Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262 (functional safety), and OEM-specific requirements.

Technical Skills
  • Strong experience in Embedded C programming.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Sleep and Wake-up mechanisms in automotive ECUs
    • AUTOSAR modules: EcuM, ComM, CanNm/LinNm/EthNm
    • Network Management concepts (Nm states, coordination, shutdown handling)
  • Good understanding of Automotive E/E Architecture.
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols:
    • CAN, LIN, Ethernet (preferred)
  • Familiarity with tools:
    • Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer)
    • Configuration tools (DaVinci Configurator, EB Tresos)
  • Knowledge of power management strategies in embedded systems.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with bootloader and ECU startup sequence.
  • Understanding of diagnostic protocols (UDS, DoIP).
  • Familiarity with functional safety (ISO 26262).
  • Experience in vehicle-level debugging and network analysis.
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
