Purpose and Objective

The Junior Distribution Associate is part of the Distribution Team, whose purpose is to represent Banner Life's Family of Companies' values by ensuring a great experience for clients, building trusted relationships with intermediaries, and facilitating growth opportunities for the company.

This role sits at the intersection of deal execution and team operations, combining transaction support responsibilities with ownership of core coordination and governance processes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of US PRT transactions, supporting transaction leads on live opportunities, and is expected to grow within the team over time by taking direct ownership of smaller, less complex transactions.

Role and Responsibilities

Transaction execution support:

  • Support the Distribution Lead on active PRT transactions by assisting in the preparation of client proposals and RFP responses, drafting and coordinating transaction contracts, and managing due diligence requests.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders from various teams to ensure timely delivery of transaction deliverables

Transaction management:

  • Maintain and manage detailed project plans for all active transactions
  • Respond to stakeholder requests for information, manage expectations, keep relevant parties informed, focus on timely delivery, and take ownership of resolving issues.

Governance management:

  • Track governance requirements on all deals to ensure relevant approvals are requested and held on time, and that senior stakeholders are kept informed of approval progress.
  • Work with appropriate parties to assist with governance meeting scheduling

Pipeline management:

  • Contribute to the maintenance of the team's pipeline of RFPs and live opportunities
  • Ensure all opportunities are properly logged, tracked, and progressed

Process improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in transaction execution and coordination
  • Work as a member of the team, contribute to knowledge sharing through on-the-job training, and participate in team meetings in order to improve the capability, values, morale, and contribution of the team.

Requirements

  • College Degree or relevant work experience.

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 USD annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The current bonus target for the position is 5% of the base salary with a stretch to twice the target, modified for corporate and individual performance.
