Job Summary: As the Fiberline Engineer, you will have overall responsibility for the Unbleached Pulp Mill area within the mill facility. You also have responsibility for other Fiberline areas. In this position you will support the Fiberline areas and overall mill goals.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Business Excellence
  • Solve Process, Equipment, and operational failures.
  • Assist in maintenance shutdowns, monitor Key Parameters of the Pulping Process, and adjust production schedules as needed to overall support mill performance.
  • Use Fiberline Visual Reports to monitor the and report key Fiberline KPI's on Quality, Chemical Usage and Environmental standards.
  • Maintain, develop, and enhance operator check list for startup and shutdown of equipment and support SME implementation of new process training systems.
  • Drive cost reduction projects and teams.
  • Weekend on call duty and weekly night calls.

People and Culture
  • Partner with safety department to maintain and enforce the safety program for the department and mill, ensuring compliance with OSHA and SW regulations and guidelines.
  • Report safety concerns and incidents. Participate in observing the high-risk task of the day (HRTD) and implement the Safety Excellence System.
  • Support mill initiatives to drive employee engagement.
  • Responsible that all employees understand and utilize all safety requirements of job functions; in addition to use all required PPE during job tasks.
  • Position requires full knowledge of safety requirements and ensure compliance and accountability.
  • Working knowledge all safety procedures (including LOTO, fall protection, confined space entry, hot work and JHA for each position, proper guarding, seat belts, dock locks, etc.).
  • Employee must follow standard work procedures and safe work.

Experience:
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in an industrial setting as an employee or as an intern.
  • Working in team settings and alone.

Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering

The salary range for this position is $69,375.00 - $115,625.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The range listed is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. The benefits for this role include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 15 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
