Job Overview

A Bachelor's Level Intern will support daily program operations by assisting with event preparation, participant engagement, administrative tasks, and office operations. This role provides hands-on experience in community services while helping maintain program records, supporting social media efforts, and contributing to the successful delivery of services and activities.

Program Info

Acenda's Family Success Centers (FSC) are warm, welcoming neighborhood gathering spaces where families and community members come together for support, connection, and growth. FSC's offer interactive workshops, family-friendly activities, and groups, as well as volunteer opportunities. All services are free and open to all. Additionally, the FSC's offer free computer use, printing, and copying services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and facilitation of activities and events.
  • Support social media efforts, copying, printing, and faxing documents
  • Assist participants and staff, maintaining records and documentation
  • Provide general administrative support in other areas as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a four-year college or university, or enrolled in a 3+1 academic pathway program through a community college.
  • Demonstrated interest in community engagement, human services, or serving diverse populations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with community members and partners.
  • Reliable transportation to attend off-site events is preferred.
