Summary:
  • Assist Operations leadership with continuous improvement projects, operational excellence initiatives, process documentation, and data-driven efforts that improve safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support Operations leadership with continuous improvement, operational excellence, and process improvement projects across assigned areas of the business.
  • Assist with Lean and 5S initiatives by helping identify waste, improve workflow, organize work areas, and support standardization.
  • Participate in process observations and improvement activities to help identify opportunities for better flow, reduced variation, and improved productivity.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering and other departments to support cross-functional project work and improvement action plans.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
Education and Experience:
  • Current enrollment in high school or college program
  • Interest in manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, Lean concepts, operational excellence, or process improvement preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to gather information, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across Operations, Production, Quality, Engineering, and other business functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to learn internal systems and reporting tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and ask questions when clarification is needed.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and interest in contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Physical Demands:
  • Light to moderate physical exertion required, including periods of time spent walking through manufacturing and office areas to observe processes and support assigned projects.
