- Assist in facilitating safe and effective invasive surgical procedures
- Apply aseptic and sterile technique in a real-time clinical environment

- Support minimally invasive, invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic surgeries
You'll develop the ability to combine knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, surgical processes, and advancing technologies-all while contributing to safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
As a Surgical Technologist Intern, you will:
- Prepare operating rooms for upcoming surgeries
- Sterilize instruments and ensure equipment readiness
- Maintain a sterile field and safe surgical environment
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies
- Prepare patients for procedures
- Participate as an active member of the surgical team
- Support intra-operative temperature regulation measures
- Follow sharps safety protocols
- Handle and label specimens accurately
- Complete required documentation within scope of practice

- Senior-year Surgical Technologist student
- Must obtain Surgical Technologist certification within 6 months of graduation (effective 11/14/21)
